The HMBIM is an event we've created to benefit the Coastside in many ways, and it is being staffed by volunteers who share the vision and excitement of putting together an event which will grow and return each year. This is a contribution to our community in many ways--from the direct contribution of over $1 million in hotel, restaurant and shopping revenue in 2012, to the creation and sponsorship of a FREE family 5K event for 100+ athletes! Add to that the thousands of dollars in permit fees to city, county and state organizations and revenue to support personnel, the HMBIM is making a tremendous difference to the Coastside and greater Bay Area economy. Staff-shirt.jpg

In 2012 we built on the incredible momentum of our 2011 event. The first year was a resounding success for the entire Coastside, and that was only because of the more than 200 volunteers who showed up to ensure we made our community proud! For the 2012 event, we added additional team members and were blessed with over 325 volunteers from around the community.

Not only did we contribute economically to our commiunity, our eco-focus on making sure the event was a GREEN event earned us the distinction of Gold Certification by the Council for Responsible Sport in our very first year!

The Team Leaders listed below are responsible for the great success of 2012!
